Subaru’s new electric cars scored five Euro NCAP stars, but the result carries strong Toyota technical DNA

The Subaru E Outback and Subaru Uncharted received the maximum five star overall rating in Euro NCAP safety testing. The headline fits Subaru’s image neatly, but the technical reality is more nuanced. The E Outback is a sister model to the Toyota bZ4X, while the Uncharted is closely related to the Toyota C HR Plus.
